18 men killed near D I Khan (Pakistan) in a Suicide Attack

At least 18 men including 4 security personnel are reported to have killed near DI Khan in a suicide attack by a teen ager in a public vehicle.

Officials told that police had been chasing the pick up as police had the intimation about the suicide bomber traveling in a public vehicle and some were on the way the security personnel intercepted the vehicle and told the young boy to get off the bus but instead of getting off the bus he blew himself up in the vehicle although the sources say that his target was not detonating the bomb in the public vehicle but as soon as he saw the security personnel intercepting the pick up he prefer blowing himself up rather than confronting the security men.

The explosion was so severe that the bodies of the victim were thrown at a distance and were torn into pieces. One leg of the suicide bomber has been found.

Police cordoned the area immediately and stated picking up the splinters of the bomb for sample.

The corpses and the wounded were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital for urgent treatment.

It is to be noted that before this attack another suicide attack was carried out by targeting a police mobile killing at least 26 people including some policemen on July 15.
